Hitchhiking in Germany - 1990

Hitchhiking from Tuebingen to Heidelberg. Great idea!!!

It's a long story better left untold but let's just say the return trip included a truck driver who seemed to speak no known European language except the phrase "Barcelona, zusammen" (Barcelona, together) accompanied by smiling and nodding.

Suffice it to say we got out of that truck at the next Autobahn rest area in Baden-Baden.

Oh, did I mention he had Barbie dolls splayed out spread eagle all along the dashboard? Yeah.
